300 portions have been distributed to the XXII popular Clotxada of Vandellòs

Friday, September 22, 2017, in the morning, one of the most traditional and multitudinous events of the Festival of Vandellòs took place: the XXII Popular Clotxada. As part of this gastronomic event, held in the renovated Square Doctors Gil-Vernet (with the medieval tower as background of this stage), 300 "clotxes" have been distributed, according to Francisco Rodell, the president of the Cultural Center, Esportiu i Recreatiu de Vandellòs (CCERV). This is the local entity that organizes the Festival with the Municipality of Vandellòs and l'Hospitalet de l'Infant and the collaboration of various local entities and companies.

In this way, the villagers, the other towns and other nearby towns, have eaten what the peasants used to eat, and to return at least: a bread partially emptied and filled with bread ember (herring or sausage, tomato, onion, a good stream of oil and salt). In addition, as a novelty of this year, they have been able to enjoy a musical performance: "Tribute to Miquel del Roig"
 
This is a typical dish of the area of ​​the Terres de Mestral, which from MIDIT (the community that watches over the economic development of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant, Tivissa and Pratdip) is promoting as a gastronomic icon of this territory .
