The Town hall of Vandellòs i L'Hospitalet de l'Infant offers visits guided to the heritage

In the Gothic hospital, the remains of the civil war, the Mill of the Oil and Khan the Tower. Because this summer the neighbors and visitors of the municipality could enjoy the heritage of the municipality of Vandellòs and L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, the Town hall offers a few holding a permit visits. These visits are organized in three blocks dedicated in the Gothic hospital, to the civil war and to the Mill of the Oil and Khan Vandellòs's Tower.

The visit in the Gothic hospital, named " L'Hospitalet de l'Infant Pere " and foreseen until September 13, allows to the participants to know with more detail this monumental set, which dates back of 1344 and is declared Cultural well of National Interest (BCIN). To the front of the hospital, in addition, it is projected every Friday and Saturday at 22 a.m., an audio-visual spectacle (*mappping) with effects of movement, 3D and sound effects and music, by means of which is explained the history of the zone and the construction and remodeling of the building. And from Tuesday until Sunday, of the 19 at 22 a.m., there can be admired the medieval still visible structures and the environment that was spied from the scale - viewing-point that have been constructed in one of the towers. On the civil war it has foreseen three routes in l'Hospitalet until September 27: " The Hospitalet of the Sea in War ", for the persons interested to discovering the location of the concentration camp *núm. 2 of the Republic that existed to the Hospitalet; " The D-day ", in which it explains that the national army of Franco had foreseen to land in the beaches of the Hospitalet to invade Catalonia and to finish with the Spanish Republic and found before a few republican fortifications to Balaguer's Neck; and " The last line of defense ", where it is called what the prisoners of the concentration camp constructed.

By means of these visits can be observed a part of the existing fortifications to the zone. To the holding a permit visit that is offered in Vandellòs, availably until September 13, he behaves the participants to the former mill, turned in  a Center of Interpretation of the Oil. In this equipment it is possible to see the original machinery of the mill, one for movie of the 70s with the old mill to full functioning, hyperrealistic figures of resin, etc; and also there can be listened the witness of the millers who have used the mill. The route to the Mill of the Oil includes also a visit in Khan the Tower, an equipment formed by the former manor of the family Gil-Vernet and the tower of medieval defense of the 16th century, which nowadays receives the historical municipal file and an area of exhibition and interpretation of the heritage of the people.
