Vandellòs and Hospitalet de l'Infant will host this weekend the Policies Cycling World Cup

The V  World Championship of Cycling for police forces will be held in Vandellòs and Hospitalet de l'Infant from September 20 to 22. In this competition, more than 250 members of the security forces and forces of six countries (Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Lithuania and Portugal) will be taking part. The representation from all over Spain, in particular, comes from the Mossos d'Esquadra, the National Police, the Civil Guard, the Local Police, the Ertzaintza and the Foral Police of Navarre; and the Tarragona show, from Cambrils, Roda de Berà, Tarragona, Reus and Alcover.
The Championship will be held in three modalities: individual time trial, route and mountain bike.
The race against the clock is scheduled for Friday, September 20, starting at 4:15 p.m. It will employ a total of 72 runners, who will have to complete a 12 km circuit, with exit and arrival at the Via Augusta of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, which will pass through the wide road and in perfect condition.
The road test (route), scheduled for Saturday September 21, starting at 4 pm, will also have the starting point Via Augusta Hospitalet de l'Infant. The 98 registered runners will have to do three laps in a 35 km circuit "not too hard, but it does break their legs", explained the organization, which will bring "excitement and attempts to escape by the runners." During the course of the test, in the parking area located between Carrer Masriudoms and Plaça Berenguer d'Entença of l'Hospitalet de l'Infant, where the podium will be located, there will be inflatables and a musical vermouth and will be drawn a bike.
The stage of the last test, the one for BTT, will be Vandellòs. In the zone of the football field of the town will be where will begin this test on Sunday, September 22, from 11 p.m., and also where it will end. You will have an 8 km circuit, with strong slopes, that the riders will have to travel four times.
The competition is divided into eight categories: eight men (18-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60-65) and one female (hi there will be a total of twelve runners).
This event is organized by Promoevents Club Esportiu, with the support of the Catalan Cycling Federation, the Spanish Cycling Federation and Vandellòs  and Hospitalet de l'Infant Town Hall. This is the second major cycling championship that this year hosts the municipality, after the Championship of Catalonia of the Individual Trial of the 27th of April. The first week of December, in addition, Vandellòs and Hospitalet de l'Infant will also be the venue for the Catalan Cup of Cyclo-cross, as highlighted by Sports Councilor Diego Garcia.
