Open registration to the new mountain race UT Llastres
It will be an ultra in 3 stages, which will be held in Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant on March 23, 24 and 25
The registration period for the new UT Llastres mountain race is now open. Those interested in signing up for this new race to be held in the municipality of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant on 23, 24 and 25 March can already do so, through the website: www.utllastres. com
The organizers of this new sporting event - the Serres de Mestral Excursion Center and the Cultural, Sports and Recreational Center of Vandellòs (CCERV), with the support of the City Council of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant- have transformed it called "Ultra Vandekames" ", that this year was celebrated in February in a single day, in an ultraresistència test that consists of three stages; and they have renamed it "Llastres", which is the river "ravine" that unites four of the towns of the municipality.
Thus, they explained, they intend to attract more people, during the weekend prior to Holy Week, and give the option to participate in the three stages or any of the Ultra tests, individually.
The three tests that make up the UT Llastres are:
- The Almadrava. It will be nocturnal It will start at 9pm on Friday, March 23 at Vandellòs and end at Almadrava. It will have a route of 17.3 km and 430 m of positive height gain.
- Trail Llastres. It will run on Saturday, March 24, starting at 7:00. The starting point will be the Almadrava; and the point of arrival, Vandellòs. It will have a route of 50 km and 4,000 m of positive elevation.
- The Classic Portella. This traditional race, which is part of the Mountain Racing Circuit Camp de Tarragona, will take place on Sunday, March 25, starting at 8.30. It will have a circular route of 24km and 1,500m of positive height difference and, as always, Hospitalet de l'Infant will be the point of departure and arrival.
In the framework of the Carrera de la Portella, children's races will also be organized and these two tests:
- La Portella Express, on Sunday, March 25, beginning at 8.45am, with a route of 17 km and a positive elevation of 1,000 m.
- La Portella Hike, on Sunday, March 25, from 9 a.m., with a distance of 12 km and a positive height difference of 700 m.
The idea is that everyone can take part in this sporting event and enjoy running or walking the landscapes offered by the municipality of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant. For this reason, different registration possibilities are offered: UT Llastres (which includes three tests) or one or two of the scheduled races.
