The XV Vandellòs Oil Festival will be held on Sunday, January 20

The Cooperativa Agrícola de Vandellòs has organized for the next Sunday, January 20, the XV Oil Festival in its facilities (located in Ctra. Hospitalet-Móra s / n), with the collaboration of the City Council of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l ' Infant

This party, which aims to make known the new olive oil produced by the Cooperative, will start at 9 am, with an alioli contest and continue half an hour later with a popular lunch where, in addition to tasting the oil the cooperative, participants can eat toast, bacon, sausage, herring; and drink red wine and water. The price of the ticket will be 3.5 euros. The tickets can be purchased the same day of the party at the store.

After breakfast, around 11 o'clock, there will be an open run of "bitlles" and sardanas (at 12 o'clock). In addition, whoever wants can buy oil at the , which will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"Arbequina" olives, mostly "reguer" and a small part of "salivenca", you get Vandellòs a fruity oil, extra virgin, greenish tones, without defects, stable, by a greater presence of polyphenols. This fact allows the oil to last longer in cooking and not become rancid as easily as arbequina oil; and that is also more tasty in raw consumption.
