Vandellòs i l’Hospitalet de l’Infant will join the celebration of the European Heritage Days of 2019

On the 11th, 12th and 13th of October, with three activities related to the art of dry stone

 

On the occasion of the 2019 European Heritage Days, the Center d'Estudis de l'Hospitalet de l'Infant (CELHI), the Extended Campus of the Antenna of Knowledge of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili de Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant and the Department of Culture and Heritage have organized three activities related to the art of dry stone, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO: a conference, for Friday, October 11 at 7 pm , in the Casa de Cultura Blanca d'Anjou of Hospitalet de l'Infant, by Josep Gironès Descarrega, expert in the subject and author of the book L'art de la pedra sec in the comarques of Tarragona (Diputació de Tarragona, 1999); a free workshop and breakfast workshop, for Saturday October 12, where a dry stone wall under the guidance of Gatano Blanc, a collaborator of the URV de la Fatarella, will be refactored; and a cultural exit (with free bus), to see cabins and other buildings in the municipality of Mont-roig del Camp, for Sunday, October 13.

 

The meeting point of the dry stone workshop and the cultural exit will be the Casa de la Vila, at 10 am and registration is mandatory (by phone 634 310 736 or by e-mail celhi@celhi.cat
