World Championship of Cycling for police forces

The V World Championship of Cycling for police forces will be held in Vandellòs and Hospitalet de l'Infant from September 20 to 22. More than 250 members of the forces and security forces of six countries (Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Lithuania and Portugal) will participate in this competition. Representation from all over Spain, in particular, comes from the Mossos d'Esquadra, the National Police, the Guardia Civil, the Local Police, the Ertzaintza and the Foral Police of Navarra; and the show Tarragona, Cambrils, Roda de Berà, Tarragona, Reus and Alcover.

The Championship will be held in three modalities: individual time trial, route and mountain bike.

The race against the clock is scheduled on Friday, September 20, as of 16:15. It will have a total of 72 runners, who will have to complete a 12 km circuit, with exit and arrival at Via Augusta Hospitalet de l'Infant, which will pass through the wide road and in perfect conditions.

The route test (route), scheduled for Saturday, September 21, after 4 pm, will also have the Via Augusta Hospitalet de l'Infant starting point. The 98 registered runners will have to make three laps in a 35 km circuit "not too hard, but it breaks their legs," the organization explained, which will "entice and attempt to flee the corridors." During the course of the test, in the parking area between Masriudoms street and the Berenguer d'Entença square of Hospitalet de l'Infant, where the podium will be located, there will be inflatables and a musical vermouth and it will be draw a bicycle

The stage of the last test, the BTT, will be in Vandellòs. In the zone of the football field of the locality will be where this test will begin on Sunday September 22, starting at 11:00 p.m., and also where it will end. You will have an 8 km circuit, with strong slopes, which motorists will have to travel four times.

The competition is divided into eight categories: eight men (18-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60-65) and one female (there will be a total of twelve runners).

This event is organized by Promoevents Club Esportiu, with the support of the Catalan Cycling Federation, the Spanish Cycling Federation and Vandellòs 

 and Hospitalet de l'Infant Town Hall.
